Casa Monarca had a fantastic location, just a few blocks from the city center. The 12-foot ceilings in our King Room. A couple of minor hiccups with the parking access and a lingering smell, but I'd definitely come back!

The hotel is in a great location near the city center.
Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues. First, the front door was locked when we returned one night, leaving us outside for about 15 minutes until someone showed up to let us in, which felt incredibly uncomfortable. Additionally, the room had a persistent musty odor that made it hard to relax, and the receptionist's attitude was less than welcoming, failing to make us feel valued during our stay.

The Family Suite with Balcony is a game changer with its 12-foot ceilings and comfy sofa that turns every meal into a feast. Plus, it's just a hop away from Tacana Restaurante for epic sandwiches! Cleanliness? Spot on, like it was ready for a high-tech lab!
A little hiccup with the ‘sort of windows’ that left the air feeling a tad funky, and the adventure of waiting 20 minutes outside while the hotel door was locked was less than ideal. Still, it was a memorable stay overall.

great location , but needs minor improvements
The staff were very accommodating and friendly throughout my stay. I loved the modern renovations that preserved the building's charm. The mattress in my King Room was among the comfiest I've experienced on my travels in Mexico. Additionally, I appreciated the clean and well-kept common areas, which made it a pleasant space to relax.
I found the breakfast options to be limited, lacking variety.

I stayed in a Family Suite with Balcony for 1 night. The room was spacious with a comfy seating area and an amazing walk-in shower. Loved the ceiling height and the cozy vibe. The beds were super comfortable and the AC worked well. The storage with a safe and steamer is a nice touch. Only downside, the breakfast options could've used a bit more variety.
